V4 Released
Godot Notes » Devlog
I slowly tinker away at these projects, but recently a need for money has made me want to release more quality products. So I've updated this to have more keybinds and text to speech. It works well!
Haven't lost my save data in a year now and transition between versions should work just fine.

Is it possible that F2 does not toggle wether speech turns off or not? I hear "Speech on" when pressing F2 then I press it again (supposedly now it is off) but it keeps speaking when you click on a note ^_^'
Oh no that's not what I want... It appears to be working on my end and I gave it like 2 months of testing before uploading, but didn't really test it on Linux at all and barely on Mac.
Intended function is that it says "F2 to enable speech." Then if you press F2 it says speech on. There are several things you could try like pressing F1 after clicking on a note to hear the help spiel. Which shouldn't say anything if you press twice. I think V5 will have a window pop up when speech is off to confirm.
I don't know if the setting saves unless you press Ctrl + S. First major q I'll ask, what OS are you running? I know Mac and maybe Linux have delays to their speech in the OS code that makes it hard to work with.
I'm on windows 10. I'm looking at it carefully: when speech is off it just says the title of the note out loud when you click on the note (don't know if that's intended)
Oh my, yes I looked and noticed I made a change that I never submitted or updated on here that fixed it, new version coming soon!
Nice! 👍👍
